Three Minutes and Twenty-Seven Seconds of Summer

5 Seconds of Summer,  the Australian band that opened for One Direction last summer, and is currently climbing the U.S. record charts with their earworm She Looks So Perfect, (already a #1 song in the U.K.) made their American TV debut Sunday night on the Billboard Music Awards. No, I didn't watch, but thank you, Internet. It happens that 5SOS is almost, almost, indistinguishable from The Vamps, except perhaps a bit less blatantly cute, a tiny bit more edgy, and Australian. Except for the differences between the voices of 5SOS's Luke Hemmings and The Vamps' Brad Simpson, I would be hard pressed to distinguish between the sounds or the subject matter of the two bands.  I've decided that I rather like 5SOS, at least until they get overexposed and their fandom turns Looney Tunes. Their song really sticks with you, and they seem like a fun group of boys.  And then there's this:

Calum Hood, call me.  Or just come over to my house.  We could have some fun, together.
