When 19-year-old Ian Nelson appeared on Teen Wolf last season in flashbacks as the teenage version of Tyler Hoechlin's character Derek Hale, he kind of broke the internet. The social networks went crazy with breathless appreciation of Ian, and if you've seen the episode you'd understand why, because he was seriously dreamy, and it didn't hurt that it was one of the best episodes of the series, ever. It was sexy, romantic, tragic, and anchored by Ian Nelson's terrific performance . Not surprisingly, MTV has come up with an excuse to bring back Young Derek, at least for one episode. Although the episode, which aired this week, hasn't garnered quite the frenzied response Ian's first appearance received (to be fair, the episode simply wasn't as good as the previous one) it served to reminded me how much I like him, and not just because he's awfully good-looking. I'm not quite ready to declare him a future ex-husband of mine just yet, but he has a few upcoming projects that I will be keeping a close eye on.
