Nash Grier And The Stupid Things Boys Say On The Internet

I'm not going to rehash the whole thing here, because those who care about such things already know about it, but if 16-year-old King of Social Media Nash Grier is as homophobic as a recently revealed Vine video and his Twitter feed would suggest, then wouldn't a good form of revenge be to sexually objectify him on gay blogs?  The problem is that, apart from his oft remarked upon blue, blue, blue eyes, he's really not all that hot. Obviously, there are legions of  people who disagree with me about that. (I don't think he is particularly clever, either.)

Since the shit hit the fan last week, Grier has twice apologized for the video, claiming youthful ignorance. There is also a photo making the rounds of Grier supposedly kissing a gay fan, which has since been discredited.  If the Vine video was originally posted two years ago, as is claimed, he was only 14 at the time. Not saying that it's a good excuse, but 14 year old boys say a lot of stupid things, and I'm not sure how fair it is to hold them to it for the rest of their lives. In the long run the onus is on him to prove that he is really contrite, although I'm not sure that he really is or how he can prove that he really is.  Unfortunately, a lot of his fans don't care one way or another.

Meanwhile, On YouTube...

First of all, let me point out that this video was posted three days ago and already has over a million views. For real. And what's all the fuss about? YouTube stars Cameron Dallas and Nash Grier, stripped to the waist and torturing each other with food. 

And you know, whatever.  I mean, I watched it, too, and not without some interest. But considering how easily Cameron uses the word "fag" as an insult, and how casually homophobic Nash Grier can be ("Gay rights? Nahhhh"),  it seems crazy how blatantly homoerotic this thing is.  Honestly, it is only a few pixelated genitals away from being a Japanese S&M video.  About the only thing missing is some candle wax and a round of bukkake at the end. In fact, it actually ends with a hilarious injury and a trip to the hospital. Fun!
